Masa adalah amat penting untuk diurus bagi setiap kakitangan dan pelajar warga UTHM. Dicadangkan setiap bangunan di PTJ masing-masing dipasang jam yg bersaiz agak besar yang mudah dilihat oleh semua orang agar sentiasa menhargai dan mengurus masa dengan betul. Dengan ini konsep menepati masa boleh dipraktiskan secara amali dan berkesan.

Allow for more than one device to be purchased, as long as within the loan limit. For example, smartphones. They are used for work, entertainment and to connect to loved ones. Since not everybody have the means to buy by them by cash, it is most preferable if staff could buy more than one device; one for his/her personal use, the other to be given to his/her spouse/parents.

At this point in time, the old buildings have alphabet name. For example building A, building C and building F. We should continue the naming nomenclature for the new building. This will create identity for each building. Building A....Building S...Building Z.

At this point in time we have 2 academic calendar - undergraduate and postgraduate. It was not easy to manage with different academic calendar. My suggestion is to have 1 academic calendar for undergraduate and postgraduate. This will make it easy for lecturer who teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. We can delay the intake (orientation) for few days only between undergraduate and postgraduate.

I strongly disagreed with the new decision by bursary to limit the direct purchase to only items bought through the on-line . There are some items are needed instantly and they will be faster to buy directly from suppliers/sellers. With the work pace of bursary to issue the LO and process the claim, this will worsen the process of procurement for research applications and definetely it will become a main hurdle to researchers to progress rapidly in research involved. To progress research faster and at high impact , there must be a support from the university's eco-system. All the supporting parties must take part and play an active role to support the researchers not to demotivate them. "If I have seen further... it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants".

Setiap hari kita akan mengalami kesesakan sepanjang laluan utama keluar juga dilaluan keluar sebelah kilang Evergreen.Dicadangkan bagi kesesakan di laluan utama diatasi dengan menutup lampu isyarat laluan utama dan digantikan dengan lampu isyarat dihadapan kampung Parit Jelutong manakala kesesakan laluan di sebelah kilang Evergreen, diatasi dengan pembesaran laluan singkat ke Kampung Parit Sempadan (yg kini laluan untuk motor sahaja) agar boleh digunakan oleh kereta dan bas.

Di UTHM terdapat banyak kemudahan dan ruang yang boleh digunakan oleh staf dan pelajar juga boleh disewa guna oleh orang luar/awam.Dicadangkan tempahan ruang tersebut boleh dicapai secara atas talian.Bukan sahaja ia memudahkan untuk semakan, malah ia juga sebagai ejen pengiklanan untuk universiti menjana pendapatan melalui sewaan ruang atau kemudahan yang boleh disediakan seperti dewan, stadium dan juga padang permainan/futsal/bola.

Setiap tahun, terdapat banyak produk yang dihasilkan dari geran-geran penyelidikan. Namun, tidak banyak produk yang dapat dipasarkan kepada orang awam. Dicadangkan, produk yang berjaya dihasilkan, dapat dipasarkan dahulu kepada staf atau pelajar dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan maklumbalas hasil penyelidikan tersebut bagi tujuan penambahbaikan dan naik taraf sebelum produk tersebut betul-betul boleh dipasarkan.Ini bukan sahaja menjana pendapatan, malah sebagai langkah awal untuk melihat kebolehpasaran produk yang telah dihasilkan sebelum proses perkomersilan.

Setiap tahun terdapat banyak barang yang akan dilupuskan oleh pihak universiti.Terdapat ada antara barang yang dilupuskan masih boleh digunakan. Dicadangkan barang - barang lupus yang masih boleh digunakan dapat dijual dahulu kepada staf dan pelajar sebelum diserahkan kepada kontraktor yang telah dilantik.Ini sebagai langkah untuk menjana pendapatan universiti.

Mesin kehadiran ACS sering didapati tidak berfungsi. Ini menyebabkan masa yang terbuang akibat staf terpaksa mencari mesin kehadiran yang lain untuk tujuan mengambil kehadiran. Saya ingin mencadangkan supaya satu sistem pengambilan kehadiran dibina melalui TCIS. Sistem boleh dibuat dengan mengambil kira lokasi di mana TCIS diakses. Hanya akses melalui rangkaian dalam kampus dibenarkan untuk mengesahkan kehadiran. Dengan ini, staf tidak lagi perlu beratur di mesin kehadiran apabila hadir ke pejabat, cukup dengan berada di mana-mana komputer dalam kampus. TQ

It is a good way to improve research by having some brainstorming and chat session regarding research. Its a way to talk regarding research problems and sharing thoughts. This should be a platform to hear and find out solution that can be thought by few other people. Besides taking critics from other to improve, relieve people from stress by talking and interactions about their research obstacles. Once in a month should be sufficient for this session.

this is just my two cents, many has started to ride bikes to support the amendment made with utm which to reduce the amount of carbon. i myself ride a bike too but its very worrisome for students to cross the road from kk to campus with their bikes. lorries and cars pass by the road quite fast though. so for us to avoid any unpleasant accidents, i suggest for the authorized people to do something upon this matter. maybe a bridge so the cyclists or those who walk to campus can cross the road safely.

Dicadangkan pendaftaran pelajar baru di buat secara dalam talian termasuk upload gambar kad matrik. semasa hari pendaftaran, semakan ringkas sahaja dibuat. KPI jangka masa penaftaran adalah 30 minit. Pendaftaran dibuat di asrama kerana memudahkan pelajar & keluarga untuk memunggahkan kelengkapan pelajar. Semakan detail pendaftaran dibuat pada keesokannnya dan hanya melibatkan pelajar dan UTHM sahaja tanpa keluarga hadir.

Saya mencadangkan agar konsep 'Campus Shutdown' diperkenalkan. Melalui kaedah ini, UTHM akan mengenal pasti beberapa hari bekerja yang mempunyai kadar kehadiran staf yang rendah disebabkan oleh cuti panjang atau cuti perayaan. Sebagai contoh, hari sebelum cuti hari raya aidilfitri yang mana majoriti staf telah mula bercuti boleh dijadikan sebagai hari cuti wajib bagi kesemua staf (kecuali yg benar-benar perlu seperti unit keselamatan). Cuti ini boleh ditolak dari cuti tahunan staf. Ini boleh menjimatkan penggunaan tenaga terutama ketika cuti perayaan. Bayangkan sebuah bangunan yang besar, yang datang kerja hanya 1 orang dan semua kemudahan seperti air-cond terpaksa dihidupkan untuk pekerja ini sahaja. Itu belum termasuk produktiviti yang rendah kerana tiada staf lain di pejabat pada ketika itu.

UTHM perlu memohon pihak yang bertanggungjawab utk membuat papan tanda arah ke UTHM di sekitar Parit Raja. Tiada papan tanda arah (walaupun di lampu trafik di depan pintu masuk utama UTHM) yang menunjukkan pemandu perlu ke kanan atau kiri untuk ke UTHM. Saya hanya menyampaikan idea pengunjung UTHM yang pertama kali ke universiti ini. Ramai daripada mereka perlu melakukan pusingan U kerana tersalah lorong di lampu trafik di hadapan pintu masuk utama UTHM.

In each faculty, we could hire an external consultant to establish a convenient research store to help us with the purchase of any research equipment. They will have a basic equipment (e.g. at FKEE, the store will sell multimeter, resistor etc.). If they don't have it, they will look for three quotations and contact all related supplier to get the best price for the equipment and delivered the goods to the researcher. We just need to tell them what we need and give our ID and Grant No for it. This will speed up the spending of the research grant which is one of the main problems in UTHM research ecosystem.

UTHM needs to develop a centralized printing service. Staff or student could print their document by uploading it to the temporary server (where all printed document will be deleted after 1 day or after it has been printed). The user only needs to use their ID card to retrieve their document from this server at any printing room in the university. Printing room should be available at strategic locations around the university. This printing facility could be outsourced to any external parties. The cost of each document should be bear by the staff and student themselves. However, each faculty could allocate a certain amount of credit to their staff's printing account depending on the nature of work in their faculty (e.g. certain faculty needs to print more than others).

Bangunan-bangunan PTj di UTHM ada yang telah wujud sejak sekian lama. Berdasarkan pemerhatian peribadi, wujud persekitaran kerja yang kurang sihat (tiada kontrak pembersihan, air-cond yang tidak berfungsi dengan baik, karpet dan peralatan berhabuk). Situasi ini boleh menyebabkan tahap kesihatan staf terganggu dan kurang motivasi berpunca daripada persekitaran kerja yang tidak sihat. Dicadangkan supaya audit menyeluruh terhadap semua bangunan dibuat bagi memastikan persekitaran kerja yang sihat dan kondusif. Melalui hasil pengauditan, tindakan seperti pengubahsuaian perlu dibuat dengan bantuan pihak PPH.
